Dear CASA Supporter,

Welcome to Voz de los Niños, your monthly newsletter keeping you in the know of all things CASA of El Paso!

Welcome to all our new subscribers from Casas for CASA 2015!

Volunteer Spotlight

This month our volunteer spotlight shines on Nori Tavera. As described by her supervisor, Nori is 'tentative, observant, meticulous and a very classy lady'. Nori has just completed her first case resulting in reunification and is ready to take on her next one. In addition to this, she has supported CASA by volunteering with our Casas for CASA committee two years in a row. She has brought in sponsorships, auction items and helped with the beautiful décor, all contributing to the fundraiser's great success. Lastly, she represented CASA as we were profiled on local Spanish television stations. Not only did she continue with her advocacy as she did all these other things, she did so even during the time of her mother's passing. With deep sympathy and tremendous gratitude, we honor Nori!

 Welcome New CASA Volunteers

CASA Training Facilitator Frank Munoz has been very busy this Spring preparing new CASA Volunteers.  During April and May, eleven new advocates have been sworn in and assigned to cases.
Welcome to our CASA family!
Our next training begins on June 13--if you are interested in being a part of this class, you still have time!  Email us to get the process started.

CASA in the Community

This month, CASA was invited to participate in Wiggs Middle School's 8th grade Career Fair.  Community Outreach Coordinator Arianne Marcee spent the day with rotating groups of 8th graders, explaining CASA and what we do for the community.  It was a great honor to be invited to participate and we appreciate all the students' attention and thoughtful questions.  Thank you Wiggs Wolverines!

Thank you for your continued support of CASA of El Paso! Together we can make a lifelong difference in the life of an abused or neglected child.

Sincerely,

CASA of El Paso
