Dear CASA Supporter,

Welcome to Voz de los Niños, your monthly newsletter keeping you in the know of all things CASA of El Paso!

Volunteer Spotlight

This month our spotlight shines on Teresa White!  Teresa has been a CASA volunteer since November 2014.  In her short time as a volunteer she has made quite the impact!  Teresa showed tremendous patience and determination right off the bat as assigning her a case proved to be very challenging.  She did not let this discourage her!  Since appointed, Teresa has displayed her extraordinary ability to advocate for children.  So much so that she just completed her third case and is ready to take on her fourth!  Quite an accomplishment considering her short tenure at CASA.  Teresa embodies what a CASA volunteer should be and we are lucky to have her.  Congratulations and thank you Teresa!

Welcome to our new CASA Volunteers!
Congratulations to our thirteen new CASA advocates, sworn in  by Judge Gutierrez on August 20th  and already starting their cases! Welcome to the CASA of El Paso family. We are privileged to have you be one of us!
If you or someone you know are interested in becoming a CASA volunteer, visit our website or contact Arianne for more information.

 Save the date!!
Planning for Casas for CASA 2016 has officially begun!  We are happy to announce that this year's signature fundraiser will again be held at 150 Sunset Event Center on Thursday April 7th.  We are in the early stages so if you are interested in helping, please let Arianne Marcee know!  We are always looking for eager volunteers to help us put on this large event.  We need planning committee members, table captains and silent auction items.  We'd love to have you join our team!
CASA in the Community
Introducing the CASA Community Café!
The CASA Community Café is a monthly opportunity for CASA volunteers to get together.  This is a chance to meet and socialize with other volunteers.  It will be a casual meeting without CASA staff, a time for volunteers to get to know each other better, share information, compare notes, etc.  These meetings will be held the first Wednesday of every month, in rotating locations and at different times  to maximize convenience for volunteers in various parts of the city and with different schedules.  If this month's meeting doesn't work for you, maybe next month's will!
No RSVP needed! Food and drink available for purchase.
Our first CASA Community Café will be
Wednesday, September 2nd at 9:00am in the gallery outside the CASA of El Paso office.
CASA will be providing coffee and donuts for this kickoff Café!
And if you want to start planning for next month....Wednesday, October 7th at West Elm Market in The Fountains.  Time to be announced.
For more information or to suggest a location, contact Arianne Marcee at 546-8146 ext 9 or

Our annual United Way Campaign is beginning on September 1st.  CASA of El Paso is grateful to be a United Way Community Impact Agency and would appreciate your support!  Soon you will receive information on our campaign in the mail. If you choose to participate in a United Way Campaign-either ours or one at your place of employment-

you can donate your money to the general fund or designate your donation specifically to CASA.  For more information on how to do this, contact Arianne Marcee.

Thank you for your continued support of CASA of El Paso! Together we can make a lifelong difference in the life of an abused or neglected child.
